It's a blog

Just look at this stupid looking rabbit.

Okay it’s a little cute…

But it’s not like you actually get to see Crona kill it. It’s even implied in the manga. Why was that so impossible to incorporate into the anime?

Found it

So this is the dragon that Crona has to kill in the anime.

It even spits fire at Crona. So what they’re saying is, cause it’s acting aggresive it’s kind of okay for Crona to kill it? We can forgive Crona for this more easily? It’s less shocking?

THEN WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THE SCENE??

The whole thing about Crona is that what Crona does is unforgivable. Crona gets lost deeper and deeper in just blackness. Crona’s whole personality is about how to deal with acts of the past, how to start anew and be forgiven. And everytime Crona gets close to getting that, he/she/it sinks away deeper. THAT’S WHY THE CHARACTER WAS MADE IN THE FIRST PLACE.

By changing this scene, they change the character, they change the story.

I just can’t tolerate something like this. It’s so stupid.

Something that has always pissed me off about the Soul Eater anime.

I’m already not much of a fan for censuring graphic things that are somehow okay for a manga/comic but not for an animation/the screen. I don’t get that. If it was okay for the audience that read and saw the drawings, why would be so much different for the audience that sees it in motion?

Somethings are harsh and graphic because THEY NEED TO BE for the story. They NEED to shock you so you understand how wrong it is.

Anyway, this is just a stupid censor thing.

There is this one flashback scene where we learn about Crona’s relationship with Medusa. Medusa locks Crona up in a dark room because Crona refused to kill an animal after medusa requested it.
In the manga it’s a little, fluffy bunny. IMO a rather stupid looking bunny, I don’t know how they found that offensive?? It looked so dumb, it probably wouldn’t even have know it’d been killed. But in the anime they changed into a baby dragon?
Like whyyyy????
How is does that help??
I don’t even get it. Is it cause bunnies are cuddly and soft and dragons… well aren’t?
How is that any less worse? It’s a dragon so probably an endagered species as it usually is, it’s still a baby, it’s magical and wonderful and it’s an awesome dragon.

Like what-why-what was the idea behind changing this??
